I just got back from the Big Apple. I have had seeing the Statue of Liberty on my bucket list for a long time. Trouble was my husband didn't have an interest in New York in general. Enter my daughter, Monica. She is always up for traveling. Thus she was my partner in this adventure. I am adding pictures as I get them edited. We saw all the tourist sights, which was actually my goal. I am happy to report the New Yorkers didn't live up the reputation of being rude.

Family Ties
Last Christmas I was trusted to take some family pictures for a dear friend. I had never worked with such a large group and with such a diverse age range. It was an adventure and I learned a ton while working with the family and editing the pictures. Photoshop is an amazing tool. Here is the final wall where the pictures hang. Looks pretty nice!

Port Arthur, Tasmania
December Trip "Down Under"
In December my husband, sister and brother-in-law took a trip to New Zealand and Australia. This first picture was the highlight of the trip for me. This was taken at Port Arthur in Tasmania. It is part of the ruins of a penal colony. It ceased operation in about 1844 or something like that, but those in Australia recognized the value of preserving the past and it is a wonderful place to visit. It was a place for "secondary offenders"...meaning those who came from England for primary offenses (crimes) went to Australia mainland and if they committed another crime, they were sent to Port Arthur.
This is the 12 Apostles. It is located off the coast not far from Melbourne Australia. There are only 10 Apostles now (two have fallen away into the sea)
