Spring Bulbs

Last winter I watched the deer digging under the snow to get to my spring bulbs and eat them. I am happy to report they didn't get them all!!

sights while "under the weather"

This morning I was feeling "under the weather" and slept in. When I opened my eyes I noticed that the reflection of a watercolor my daughter painted of my son when he was a child was reflecting in the mirror of my grandmother's chest of drawers. The light was such that it looked pretty cool. I tried to re-created it when I felt better but it wasn't quite the same. I thought I would share what a talented daughter I have and a cute son. Oh, and the flowers were from my sweet husband from a time in the past. Art has a way of holding time still.

Early March

My daughter, Monica, and I spent the weekend up north taking pictures. We spent 2 funfilled days driving around looking, stopping and snapping pics without any concern for time (except when that wonderful sunset light graced the earth). Here are a few examples of the sights we saw and brought home to remind us of the nice time it was.

Antelope Island: We spent the day looking for unsuspecting object to shoot (with our camera). Lots to see if you really really look. We went to the Fielding Garr Ranch and took a few snaps. More pics to come from this adventure.

I really liked this pic. Even though I have several of my own chickens, he was willing to pose for me. I have read a lot about tack sharp eyes. I think I got it on this one. The texture of this pic really showed up. I was shooting through chicken wire but it didn't seem to hurt this pic.

Antelope Island: on the beach waiting for sundown. We got cheated out of an (interesting) sunrise, because of lack of clouds in the sky. Sundown did not disapoint.
